We visited here as it was the closest pub to our campsite and found it to be a very acceptable place. Friendly staff, lovely beer garden, friendly dogs and well kept Deuchars IPA and Mansfield Cask (Pedigree also on). The food was very good value and well prepared - the Pork Wishbone Ash went down very well with our party! hairy_hippo - 8 Jun 2008 11:12 |
This is a very well-run village pub with well-kept beers and two well-behaved dogs. I have always been made to feel very welcome and at home on my (infrequent) visits. Food is good and the garden is very pleasant in the summer. I agree with ddstyles that the place could do with a refit and looks tired, but this is not a show-stopper in my opinion. 8/10 as this is a pub I could drink in all day and would happily recommend. A pub in need of refurbishment as it looks very tired and quite shabby. Public bar really not up to much. Saloon bar quite dull and empty. Regular selection of lagers and low end bitters. ddstyles - 29 Apr 2008 13:05 |
