| I really want to like this pub as it really is one of the nicest in the area but the food continues to disappoint. We had Sunday lunch there recently for mothers day and the food was awful - flavourless starters, undercooked (virtually raw) roast potatoes, tough beef and really burnt yorkshire puds - if a pub is going to charge �20 per head for 2 courses you should expect good food. | This is a great country pub. Its recently had a full refit and is much smarter and comfortable than before. They have about 5 real ales and are part of the CAMRA LocAle scheme. The food is traditional and sourced locally - we had the Sunday roast beef and were impressed. The kids were happy with the play fort in the beer garden so we were happy as well!
