I have been here before but it was quiet unmemorable, as was my latest visit late on Saturday evening.

4 beers on the pumps so I opted for a pint of Young's, Humming bird @ 4.2%. Service was quick but I found the barman slightly rude and abrupt.

It seemed pretty busy inside, the kitchen was still open and the food looked very decent.

I took my pint and went and sat outside as the evening was warm.

Friendly pub but doesn’t really do it for me.

Quality. Quality. I think we all file in like carrages behind trainman. With the smoky platforms. Capital One.

In response to Harryconner98 back in February, it is a pub first and fore most. If you wanted to order Thai food, ask one of the Thai waitresses walking in and out the place. The bar serves beer. The old girl (over 40 I suppose is old to some people) has always been pleasant swift and accommodating; pl.us she hides the fact very well that she's very deaf. I've known Mary for years and she's one of London special bar maids; always good at her job. If you have problems getting served Harry, buy some lifts for your shoes shorty or stand on a box. If you want a hamburger, piss off up to MacDonald's and buy one there you big kid. Pub's like the Windmill are for grown ups. Grow up! Now I've got that out the way, I can honestly say that I've been drinking here since the War and it's still one of the best pubs in London. And great for sitting outside and enjoying a smoke, particularly in my case of a cigar, and watching the world pass slowly by. Can't be bettered this side of the River.

New thai menu with a cracking lunch deal, starter, main & rice for only 7.50! Can't get better than that! Specially when they have Sky Sports and really friendly staff. Have spotted a few celebs in there too, well worth popping in for a beer.....or a few!

Absolutely awful service. I visited for the first time the other day, and went to the bar to see the food menu. The elderly lady serving gave sarcastic responses, and was extremely short tempered, saying 'this is a pub, not a restaurant!' (I was only trying to order a hamburger with a pint!). After this, I decided not to even bother ordering food from there. It was the worst pub service I've had in years, and I've been to a few!
