user reviews of the Kings Head, Richmond

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

First stop on day 3 of the Inn Way. Nice pub with Askrigg Ales on (we had a gold). An awful lot of signs telling you what you can and cant do. "To avoid further damage, dont touch the fire"

All pleasant enough and perfect for our needs.

Stopped off here on a sunny spring day after a great walk up Gunnerside Gill - recommended if in the area.
Sat outside in the sun and enjoyed Black Sheep (Golden Sheep) and York ( First Light) - both in excellent condition; there was ordinary Black Sheep on as well. A great local pub if you are ever in Swaledale.

Beer in the evening quotes are highly prized: my last comment now appears on the Kingshead Website. Still a great pub , well done.

Welcoming Pub, just saved by the community. Hopefully now it will go from strength to strength. I urge you all to visit to support this great pub. Good Beer and lovely fired , dog friendly too. Website also. Not tried food but looked good.

A pleasant dales pub in this popular walking area: blazing fires, good looking food, though we haven't eaten here recently, and good beers from the likes of the Masham mafia and Daleside. The place has an encouraging air of eccentricity about it, and much more of a welcome than the Punch Bowl up the road at Low Row.
