Sometimes you just have to have a pint of Harveys! Lovely pub in all respects.

This pub has existed since the early 14th cetury. It is full of character and charm. There are two rooms and it seems that the focus is on food. The large selection on the blackboard looked tempting. But unfortunately this was our last pub of the day and we'd already eaten. Nevertheless, the pub does not neglect drinkers and there were 3 ales on - Harveys Sussex Best Bitter, Shepherd Neame Master Brew & Growler Bitter. The pub was busy and people had spilled out into the car park. It's in quite a secluded location, next to the village church, but is well worth seeking out if you're a fan of traditional unspoilt pubs.

Proper restaurant prices not restaurant quality, not enough portions for the money paid, location is good, plays upon past reputation. Don't bother go to somewhere that serves honestly priced grub

Overpriced food and painfully slow service despite there being few other diners. Whilst waiting 30 minutes for desserts, we overheard the landlord pontificating about the fact that it only takes one negative aspect to sour a diner's opinion of an otherwise good experience. It turned out that he had forgotten to send the order through to the kitchen. Oh the irony!
