A strange little bar (which, I suppose is the idea) with a few ales available which were pleasant, if a little pricey (city centre location notwithstanding). Far from a must visit but OKish.

Disappointing, which is a shame as I really wanted to enjoy this bar. It's almost like it's trying TOO hard to be odd, which makes the thing feel like it's been put together in a calculated fashion. Ale was OK, if pricey but the food was a huge disappointment, bland and big and very costly.

Far from an essential visit.

Went before a gig a few weeks ago - they have a deal that if you show cinema, theatre or gig tickets you can have 2 pizzas and a bottle of house wine for 10. Excellent deal and a nice little place, I'd like to go back and spend a bit longer there.

Really unusual place that looks like a wine bar but with 3 handpumps. Flowers IPA, Copper Dragon Golden Pippin and Wem Golden Honey. Pretty pricey though at 3 a pint. Downstairs has some comfortable sofas and a lot of dining tables. Has 4 Bison heads on the wall over the entrance (I hope they're not real, as we had a number of close encounters with Bison in Canada last year and they're brillian in the wild). Also has loads of interesting artwork around the walls. Upstairs is another bar that opens from 5 til late. This bar has a huge station style clock in the middle and more comfy sofas. Very friendly & helpful staff, nice atmosphere throughout early on a Saturday evening. We'll definitely call back as the other half loved it.

Stumbled upon this place after an open day at the university. Very impressed actually - cask ales (Copper Dragon, Flowers IPA and one other) were good and it had a rather nice bohemian feel to it. Looks a bit poncey from the outside I'll admit, but I rather liked it.
