This pub was recommended to me and I have to say its a really nice pub. The food was excellent and good value for money although one or two items were missing from the menu. The service started off excellent but when the manager took his break at 5pm it fell apart taking almost 1.5 hours for the one waitress to remove our plates and bring our daughters icecream!

No atmosphere?? the Thomas is probably the best pub in Bolton. Go on a friday night - great buzz about the place especially with 25s & over. Wednesday quiz is an excellent night out too. Food great, staff friendly - what more do you want?!

Now called the Thomas Egerton...Boltons first non-smoking pub. Recently refurbished and well done too.
apparently foods good but I havent tried it yet. Beer good and good selection of wines available. Could do with generating a better atmosphere but I suppose that will come once established again
