Was here in June 2013 for a couple of pints - great atmosphere and location. The ale and the cider I tried were both well kept so it worth adding this to your walking route if you are in the area.

I've been using this pub for a number of years now whenever I'm in the area, which unfortunately isn't very often now. What a gem of a place, Perfect location, great beers, good food, friendly locals. I cannot praise this place enough. I wish I could afford to but one of those lovely thatched cottages within spitting distance.

A gem of a pub in a fantastic location. Beer garden is a public right of way so plenty of passing trade! Very cosy inside with own brewed beers, which were tip top. Shame they cannot come up with a golden ale/light brew in between the Branoc (3.8) and Summa That (5%). That's just me being picky. Food was excellent too, I had beer battered fish and chips and a BBQ all good. You can eat in the pub (but cannot book) or in the restaurant which can be booked. It was busy during our stay 3rd - 10th Sept. I'd recommend.
