Former blacksmith's shop which became a working men's club in the 50s and then a pub. One room divided by a stained glass partition wall. Tetley's Cask, Marston's 61 Deep and Wainwright were the 3 ales on sale on Friday afternoon; my Tetley's was in good condition. The young woman behind the bar could have been friendlier. paul_d102 - 15 Nov 2021 20:53 |
Great little pub with good beers and friendly locals. I really felt at home here during a recent holiday. maxipop - 28 Aug 2015 19:19 |
Homely and friendly dales pub in Teesdale. Nothing flash, just good beer: had some excellently kept and dispensed York Brewery Guzzler. There was another real ale from Allendale (Golden Plover) which I would like to have sampled but I was reluctant to stop drinking Guzzler. Good, reasonably priced Sunday roast (best to book, it seems). ironhorse - 30 May 2011 20:50 |
