Sparsely decorated inside with service a little sketchy. Busy last Sunday in the fine weather although the concreted area where we sat offered no view of the river. Having walked from Cotehele, it was disappointing to find the Salcombe Gold in only average condition; I didn't try the Salcombe Seahorse or the Doom Bar. paul_d102 - 29 Jul 2021 18:45 |
A lovely setting but an average pub. Quite pricey too. Would go back and try again sometime maybe a little later in the evening. 7/10 montie49 - 6 Jul 2017 18:07 |
GREAT LITTLE PUB - FRIENDLY WELCOME. GREAT BEER, WICKWAR B.O.B AT 2.15 A PINT AND SKINNERS SPRIGGAN AT 2.55. GOOD SELECTION OF WINE AT 11 A BOTTLE. WE ALSO HAD REALLY GOOD FOOD - SPECIAL OF THE DAY WAS A VERY TASTY PORK AND DIJON PIE SERVED WITH VEGETABLES FOR 5.95. WILL RETURN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ENDED UP SPENDING 4 HOURS IN THE BEER GARDEN IN THE MARCH SUN - PERFECT! Mutley123 - 22 Mar 2011 12:28 |
Looks after it's local trade very well. Should you be on a river trip there is a very limited menu not involving cooking. The reason given is the number of people slowing down the already slow service. A nice pub, fantastic venue ruined by an inadequate service. Had a menu been on the boat it might have been comunicated by phone prior to arrival. Ferretman555 - 5 Jul 2010 08:31 |
25 minutes to get a drink whilst they serve the locals! Won't be going back there again. provenjohn - 31 May 2009 19:21 |
