user reviews of the White Hart Inn, Ufton

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The White Hart has a nice setting overlooking the Warwickshire countryside. But this is another place that appears to be largely for diners. There was an overwhelming smell of fish when we arrived. But the place does seem to specialise in seafood. The room is fairly cosy and many tables had reserved signs on them. Ales were St Austell Tribute, Greene King IPA & Slaughterhouse Saddleback. They also had a real cider - Thatchers Heritage. Nice place. But it didn't really feel like a pub. This was the only pub we visited that shuts on weekend afternoons. So check the opening times.

Some good ales if a rather limited selection. Very small place and definitely comes under the category of a restaurant with minor provision for drinkers who are are slightly shunted to one side for the diners. Friendly staff though and when you can sit outside in the summer months there are few better places to be when sipping a pint of your favourite ale and taking in the spectacular views of the Warwickshire countryside.
Location is everything here.

Stopped off here on the way back from the International Living History Fair at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. Rather quiet on Sunday, just us and a couple of others, but a decent meal served with good service.

Found a decent pint of Theakston cask MILD on hand pull here. Quite a relief after popping into 4 of Harbury's pubs only to discover that there is no MILD in Harbury.

Here at the White Hart there were plenty of diners enjoying Sunday lunch. Besides the MILD there were a couple of guest bitters. Sunday papers were available for a free read, drinking here was quite a cosy experience. The massive view view from the beer garden is worth stopping for. First time visitors may be a little baffled at how to get to the car park which is round the back of the church next door.

Only down point was the price of a pint of MILD - 2.40 is a bit over the top. But I suppose Black Country folk are spoiled as MILD is often only 1.65 a pint in Bathams pubs and as low as 1.39 in Wetherspoons pubs.
