I got a metaphysical hangover even walking into this pub. The amount of mismatched furniture and other shit meant I felt slightly queasy even before having any beer of which there wasn't much.

Seeing as Tesco, Budgens, Sainsburys & Abdab next to the post office I can only imagine that Asda or Morrisons will buy it, it seems to me that the high street is still lacking on supermarkets! The place was Cr*p so glad its gone .

Lucy75...i never like to see pubs closing down really. I just thought that this place was a poor excuse for a pub. Lets hope it reopens as something better. Heard a whisper that it coud be a wetherspoons ?

Got your wish "Nickthefish" It's all boarded up! Wonder what they are going to change it to this time. This place has had more names than Puff Daddy....or whatever his name is?!?!?

I am not surprised this place is closing down and wouldn't miss it either!
Why they say they are child friendly is beyond me - I asked if it was ok to come in New Years Eve for food with friends and our children. Was told as long as we were out by 7pm would be fine. There was quite a lot of us (We were pretty much the only people in the bar, other than about 5 other people). They were just totally stressed about the kids and worried they were going to pop their balloons that were on the floor for the evening (like adults really want balloons)!! The Bar woman and manager were making it quite clear they didn't want us there, a friend heard the Bar woman say "i'm going to strangle one of those kids in a minute" !! charming. 7 o clock and we were pretty much asked to leave - which probably took away their biggest trade that evening!
