Simple, traditional pub tucked away in rural Suffolk. Old fashioned bar, nothing fancy and all the better for it. Three ales on when i visited (Adnams, a GK special and a Green Jack from Lowestoft). The food looked good although I didn't try it. Seemingly Blaxhall has a tradition of local folk music and The Ship is at the heart of it although there was no music on when I visited. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Decent village pub offering a selection of real ales including Mauldoons Black Adder, Timothy Taylors and Adnams. Friendly atmosphere and appears to be well-patronised by locals. Although we didn't sample them, they also offer food, accommodation and entertainment - mainly folk music.

Pleasant little country pub with a main bar and, what they call, the restaurant.
The food is quite good, and is reasonably priced. There were three beers on when we visited - nothing spectacular, just the standard Adnams and Woodfordes. They were ok though.

The evening musical entertainment was very good, and I would return purely for that. However, the "entertainment" provided by a few of the locals, who had been drinking for most of the afternoon, was appalling. Unfortunately, the staff did nothing to quiet them down or ask them to moderate their language - They just kept serving them more drinks. It is for this reason that I have awarded a rating of 4/10, otherwise it would be a 7.

Charming pub, pity the ale wasn't very well kept when I visited.

Really nice pub, good welcome from the staff when you step through the door. Nice selection of beers on hand pump, up to four real ales. They are selling the low alcohol Tolly English Ale for 2.50 unlike some who want to charge the same as normal beer.
Nice selection of food at reasonable prices and very nice it is too!
Live music some evenings which can be fun, try Monday lunchtime when some of the locals perform very entertaining!
