Superb beer. Superb michelin standard food. Superb staff. If only it was my local...heaven.

I am most pleased to announce that Robert is back at The Red Lion in Stodmarsh. His bubbly personality only adds to the fabulous atmosphere in what must be one of Britain's finest pubs. The establishment is full of olde worlde character and charm. Most illuminating!

I come here as often as possible but recently found that Robert, the charismatic innkeeper no longer runs the establishment. My immediate worries were soon allayed as he has passed The Red Lion over to his daughter who runs it superbly. The beer is in great nick and prices for beer and food very reasonable. One of Britains best pubs and I dont say that lightly.

A lovely old pub, very interesting inside and with beer served straight from the cask. However, the pint I tried was not of the best quality, and not sure why there was loud music being played from behind the bar.

awesome pub!!

Pub packed floor to ceiling with all manner of objects, could spend hours just looking at them!! but that would be denying yourself a chance to enjoy some of the finest food from a clearly talented chef.Very well thought out menu using locally sourced ingredients, quite a suprise to find food of this quality in a pub that you could never find by accident, puts many so called restaurants to shame.Couple this with some eccentric behaviour of the staff and especially Robert the Innkeeper you have the perfect non-corporate establishment.Enjoy
