Pleasant tourist haunt in the harbour and food looked nice - ale wasn't though was garbage. Left half of it as I couldn't be bothered gaining the attention of busy food orientated staff to get it changed, Another bum steer from the GBG.

As previously mentioned, this has the best location around and very friendly staff. Only 3 Ales on when visiting in August. I had the Old Jacks Tipple, so named after the CBeebies show filmed here, and if its good enough for Bernard Cribbens then its definately fine by me. Also ate here twice, a word of warning on the Fish and Chips, it's HUGE ! My wife shared hers with our daughter.

Had Black Sheep and Bombardier on when I passed by on the Cleveland Way - I usually avoid both these ales but was thirsty so plumped for the Black Sheep which to my surprise was very well kept and enjoyable.

Although it's got the best location for a pub in Staithes, and it's well worth a visit just for the view, when we visited last year we found the food (fish and chips) not terribly good and the beer ordinary.

Open now and lovely pub. Run by very pleasant family. Great atmosphere. Good value food and what a magical location. Full of locals and visitors. Love it!
