Really nice country pub with a lovely atmosphere. Kids were made to feel welcome and it was great that there was somewhere for them to have a run around in the garden after dinner!

We went to this pub with the kids, Wayne and Pennie where great. The pub has changed so much. We had dinner and we where surprised by the cost and the portion sizes plus the food tasted brilliant. Its a good all round country food with food, Great beer and a very warm welcome. shame there are not more pubs like this one.

Nice slightly old-fashioned "proper" pub (I mean this in a good way). Beer adequate if not spectacular. Despite having a power cut when I was there they managed to provide a filling warm lunchtime snack!

All in all a pleasant place and worth a visit.

A surprisingly good local pub on my visit a few months back, I have to admit I wasn't expecting much.

Greedy King ale was decently served (even if the range was a bit limited).

Pub was busy for a weekday night. Fair cross-section of punters, ladies darts team were throwing arrows and there was a lively buzz about the place. The interior was quite nicely done.

Not bad at all, will return.

Nice welcome, reasonable food and beer.

This was included on the Reading beer festival ale trail.
