The location of this pub is superb. It is set in a quiet village on a green opposite the church. We were doing a walk in the area and stopped here on route.
Also very reasonable prices 2.50 a pint for Dartmoor best ale!

This pub is superb! It is a genuine village local, serving exceptional beer (usually 3 on offer including Dartmoor Bitter, Tribute and a guest), real cider (Sam's) and proper pub-grub to real-live villagers and visitors alike. A friendly, warm atmosphere and a wonderfully peaceful location complete the picture. You can also enjoy regular live music on Fridays, a 'jam-session' on Sundays and several beer festivals, often featuring local brews.

These types of pubs are a dying breed. Pubcos are doing their best to destroy them, but they are part of our heritage. Don't let them be lost!

Good country pub with locals propping up the bar engaging in small talk about how men can breast feed! The location in this small village is superb. Although, I'd imagine it could be a bit windswept in winter. 3 real ales were available at the bar - St Austell Tribute, Clearwater Cavalier and St Austell Dartmoor Best, in addition to 2 left over from a recent beer festival - Otter Bright and Jollyboat Plunder. Sams Medium cider was also available. Well worth a visit.
