Went there for dinner tonight (Monday) with my boyfriend and it was a great dining experience! Nice setting/environment/decor, wonderful service and amazing food!

I think we were served by the landlady, who was very friendly, helpful and funny. We're quite fussy drinkers/eaters but she did all she could to help to answer our questions and fulfil our requests.

We sat in the bar area as the dining area had been booked for a large party but it was quiet and the sports channel was on a very low volume so no issue there. We asked to taste the guest ale (a local one whose name I forget) but then went for the Doom Bar (3.00) instead just because it wasn't to our taste. The Doom Bar was in great shape. We both ordered their "Finer Dishes" Hertfordshire Beef and Abbot Ale pie with mustard and leek mash, savoy cabbage and red wine sauce. And they're not lying when they label it a Finer Dish - a *whole* (not a measly slice like you usually get) freshly handmade pie (about the size of a large fist) with ample mash on top and a helping of savoy cabbage. Perfectly cooked and we were thoroughly stuffed at the end and for only 9.55 per dish that's good value too!

The only minor criticism is that the mustard and leek mash had a bit too much mustard in it so you couldn't really taste much of the leek or potato! But I'll still score it a 10/10 since it's currently vastly under-rated due to its past ratings.

New landlord and lady, new coat of paint and a new warm welcome.
Food was standard pub fare, but was hot and served with a smile. Staff seemed happy, beer was good and the White Hart feels like it might be finding it's place again!

This pub has had a major investment done in November and looks amazing. The picture does not do it any justice so I have uploaded an more recent picture for you to look at.
Is under new management and all the staff were very friendly.
Food was great with it all being homemade and pudding was to die for

We enjoyed the entertainment they had one Saturday evening as they do live music monthly and the atmosphere was brilliant so we ended up staying all night.
An amazing place will be visiting again

I have been going to this pub for several years now hoping that each time the menu has changed the food might get better! but it doesn't.

We waited ages for our food today (even though we were the only ones in there) , and then one of ours came out 30mins later and the missed off the chips and the bacon?

very bad service.

The pub itself has soo much potential, great loaction, big run garden but not much happening. Somebody please rescue it!!

The other White Hart, an alright pub which has very much an old fashioned feel. Quite an eerie atmosphere and not an awful lot going on here. Different ales which included Tribute and London Pride. Felt slightly unfriendly atmosphere at the bar compared to other pubs in area but 7/10 nontheless.
