Stayed here a couple of nights and have added it to our "will come back" list.
Accommodation OK, our bathroom wasn't exactly sparkling clean so nothing special. But food superb. Beers limited in number but well looked after and reasonably priced.
Good service from pleasant staff and nice pubby atmosphere.
Recommended.

Arrived here at 2.05 one afternoon. Ordered 2 beers and proceeded to look at the menu. The barmaid watched us as we discussed what we were going to have, then walked away. We had to ring the bell to put in our order 5 mins later and I hope I didn't detect that she seemed a little pleased to tell us they had stopped serving at 2. Perhaps there was a sign and she thought we should have seen it, but I don't think it would have hurt for her to have pointed out they had stopped serving when we picked the menu up.

My mate and i stopped off here halfway through our walk.
The exmoor ales were gorgeous, we could have stayed there all day!
We sat outside which as a previous poster pointed out is limited seating but was still pleasant none the less.

9/10

Nice restaurant in a lovely picturesque village but not a pub for the serious beer drinker. The Exmoor Ale and Gold was fine (albeit a bit unadventurous) but the atmosphere on Sunday lunchtime reminded me of a chapel of rest.

Welcoming pub in quiet Exmoor village. Sadly it lacks a garden. Outside seating is limited and unattractive. Sandwiches were OK but pricey.
