Quite open-plan and hardly any customers on Thursday lunchtime so the pub itself lacked atmosphere (perhaps unsurprising for a damp midweek day). We therefore chose to sit outside. My £3.60 pint of Millstone Tiger Rut was good.

Brill pub. Great range of well kept real ales. Food exceptional. Jan and Geoff and all staff are also exceptionally friendly and laid back. I walk a lot with my dog and often my route to end here.

I have been coming in here irregularly for years. The beer is always spot on. I had my first pint of Landlord in here some 20 plus years ago, which was a bit of a Road to Damascus moment at the time where beer was concerned. My view of the pub is without doubt rose tinted.

We had a very nice Sunday dinner in the Diggle today. The waiting staff were loveley and very attentive. The beef was to die for! so tender and plenty of trimmings, all home cooked and served with a smile

We're really lucky to have this pub in Diggle - top quality food, a fine selection of well-kept ales (Golden Pippin, Timothy Taylor Landlord etc) in a fantastic location. Ignore any bad publicity you may have read earlier - this is a great place to eat and drink and deserves to do well. The place was packed when we were leaving, so hats off to Geoff, Jan and the team

Been here a couple of times now. The first for a quick pint after a walk up Standedge the second for a few more refreshing pints of Golden Pippin and some well deserved hearty grub. The pub is really friendly and the Landlord is a gent; advising us on, and offering us tasters on the cask ales.

The food menu is varied and very reasonably priced and the quality is top notch. The only negative is that the pub closes for a couple of hours in the afternoon, but that made the beer taste all the more sweeter - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
