Left here for 22 ( see review) - total mistake - lovely surroundings friendly staff and fellow ale consumers - good selection of very well kept ales - and a helping of tapas to boot - again reasonably priced - don't make our mistake - stay here! projectedmayhem - 13 Sep 2012 10:24 |
Only dropped in for a quick pint whilst the place was quiet, but the beer was good and the service friendly. Obviously a place where everyone feels comfortable regardless of age or background. Toilets (and plenty more tables for eating) upstairs, and one of the staff informed a telephone caller that the place was fully booked for New Year's Eve, which is also a good sign. Well worth a visit if you like a nice beer in pleasant surroundings. Stamfordian - 7 Jan 2012 13:12 |
Tasty tapas at reasonable prices. As The Tapas Bar is very popular, table reservation is a good idea, especially in the weekend. Known for having decent real ales on, but the dining section needs a beer list, the bar area was so full of people watching football on the telly that I could not read the pump clips, nor get anywhere near the bar. Food very nice ; Spanish and Greek. good wine and beer selection. Service is patchy , some very good , some distinctly average. mineisalandlord - 21 Apr 2010 22:08 |
Finished in a Mediterranean style, naturally I guess for a tapas bar, it also offers well kept real ales from small and micro breweries from the six handpumps as well as a pedestrian choice of UK kegs. There is a large outside area especially popular for warm lunchtimes and afternoons but sadly only plastic glasses are allowed outside. oldboots - 29 Sep 2009 17:53 |
