Nice local feel to this pub. A bit old and faded but you're made to feel very welcome (they put the gas fire on for us and laid places for our tea before we got there). Not a large selection of ales but they seem well kept and landlord kindly offered us a taste. Good pint of Doom Bar and a Yorkshire golden beer of some sort. Food was simple but hearty with homemade puddings. Locals sitting around playing cards and knitting. Friendly as you like.

Tucked away on the edge of town and right on the edge of the forest this is a pleasant traditional pub. Very friendly couple run the pub which served some fgood real ales when I was there (very nice Butcombe). The food was well priced and freshly cooked. Friendly locals who I got talking to and becasue I was staying I ended up sitting up late and drinking rather more than I had intended! the B and B accomodation is basic but clean and not expensive. All in all a friendly pub serving good ale and food.

Always a warm welcome at this traditional Forest of Dean village pub. Real Ales, Real Food and Real Fire. Small car park but plenty of roadside parking. Beer Garden (garden not suitable for children - hence no play equipment). Great Sunday Lunch
Bed & Breakfast Accomodation also available. Open 5pm during the week. Mid-day Sat, Sun & B/hols.
