Only popped in for a quick visit recently to see how my "new" local was doing and have to say I was very impressed by what Jerry and Allison have done so far .. its obvious they are full of good ideas going forward .. due to shift work and other commitments I cant get in as much as I would like but return I will and I would encourage you to visit .. good choice of beer .. good food coming and comfortable surroundings .. well done!

Popped in for a quick beer then ended up staying for the evening. Alison and Jerry ( Landlady and Landlord) couldn't have made anyone more welcome. Got there early evening and watched the football, very comfortable leather sofas!!. Had a Chilli which was fab, then after a few more beers decided to stay for the karaoke disco. Have to say had a great time, I will be returning.

Funny I'm a local as well and go there quite a few times for the footy and never had any problems, sound was always ok for me they show all the live sport I've been there and they have had 3 games on at once not all with sound is true.

I have been drinking there for over 14 years now and these are by far the best owners we have had in a long time they have turned the place around it now looks great outside and inside, its nice to see people trying to save a good local and Jerry and Alison (landlord/landlady) and all the staff are really nice people and to a few of the comments on here maybe if you used your LOCAL !! more you would see that instead of leaving neg..... feedback keep up the good work !!!

Got to admit only go here to my local when Pompey on sky, heard it was under New Owners, phoned an hour before to check game was on, told it would be, arrived the dodgy channel that they were using was pre-set, things looking good, even though only 8 other people in pub (no one watching football) asked the barmaid to turn sound up which she did, 5 minutes into game juke box comes blaring through the speakers, fair enough forgot to turn it off, 5 minutes later the same thing happened, drank me pint and left, if your advertising it as a SPORTS pub sort it out, no wonder there is only 8 customers WONT BE COMING BACK

Not my locallest pub but always happy to take the extra walk (and extra stagger back) to visit this lovely friendly pub. Some good Ringwood (and other) ales, a good friendly bunch of staff, nice cosy bar, can't go much wrong here.
