| A Polish bar run by non-Polish people, with no Polish beer on tap, and prices that would drive Eastern Europeans back to communism. On the plus side, the food is fairly authentically Polish, such as pierogi (albeit presented in small, neat portions and twice the price it should be), and they do have a lot of Polish vodka to try out. There is nothing actually wrong with Bar Polska, but with plenty of great pubs in the Holborn area I fail to see why you would want to choose this place above others. | Been going here semi regularly since it opened in the 90s. Not a lager drinker at all but make an exception here as there is such a good array of quality Polish beers (although I believe Zywiec is in the hands of heineken, and EB is fosters...). Nevertheless, John runs a tight ship and he and his staff are always super-friendly (I've found). Food pricey but hearty.
