| There's a great welcome here. We arrived late for our booking but the staff couldn't be more helpful. The food was good, served with plentiful veg, chips, etc. The location is outstanding of course and the ambience in the pub amazing, open fire, old beams, stone flags, etc. The beer - Rev James - was great. | Good to see the Skirrid is getting some visitors from here. Fab location, plenty of good walking nearby, with superb views of the mountain. Most Haunted fans will love it. | Reputed to be the oldest pub in wales as well as the most haunted. I called in for a pint and ended up having a guided tour from Geoff the landlord. I then sampled the food and it confirmed that pubs don't get better than this. What a place! Ben Rowlands - 24 May 2006 21:16 |
