What a lovely pub this is. No TV, no gambling machines and no piped music. It's what a pub should be, a place to sell good ale.

Good selection of Sam Smith's beers, Lagers and spirits. Very cheap too.

If you hanker after what pubs used to be like and should be like then give it a visit. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable.

Commented on this pub a while back still one of the best pubs in the area and has just got better if that is at all possible. They are now serving food.... I had a Sunday roast last sunday and it was excellent especially for the price £4.99 for a full roast
I think the managers have nailed this one menu looked good and well priced will be in every weekend keep it up guys

If you ever want to see what a pub looked like 100 years ago, pay a visit! A wonderfully preserved local boozer. It has all its origional fixtures and fittings...including a heated brass foot rail around the bar. Being Sam Smiths, it carries all its own brands, which are very reasonably priced. Very friendly pub, only downside is no draft!

Really sorry. False alarming the Sam Smiths! I got it mixed up with the pub further down toward the Broadway!!
