A decent place down a side street in Instow.
Like many of the pubs in Instow it has a modern restaurant feel to the place.
Still a good place to have a drink though, I had Doombar which was good.
There is a suntrap beer garden out the back, didn't eat here but the food looked good.
Would visit this one again as it opens all day unlike the Boathouse pub around the corner.

My wife and I visited Instow to attend a wedding and the evening prior had pre-booked to eat at the Wayfarer. I had the grilled mackerel on horseradish potatoes whilst Sarah had the bream. Both were absolutely delicious and shining examples of using good ingredients, cooking them well and letting the dishes speak for themselves. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks before hand and we shared a bottle of excellent South African rose. The bill was about 40.00 (including drinks) which I thought was very good value considering the quality of the food and standard of service - which was polite and friendly. We learnt later from the people we stayed with that the lady who does a sterling job overseeing the proceedings in the food area of the pub is called Vera. So well done Vera and all at the Wayfarers; its great to see someone getting it right for a change!

Been here a few times, and always busy. Staff have always been accomodating, but it would be well worthwhile booking if you want food, I've been lucky but I've seen people who haven't. Beer and food good and I thought priced about right. Doom Bar and Landlord when I went in. Also stayed in accommodation earlier this year and that was fine, but couldn't get a mobile signal.

Visited early evening, All tables marked reserved and staff tell prospective customer "no chance" to booking.Nowhere for us to sit therefore.Beer gtarden with undercover bike storage- it used to be the skittle hall. Food expensive, doombar on gravity behind bar- first pint a bit fusty. All other beers fizzy lagers- a scrumpy also on offer.Considering the time of year a restaurant more than Pub IMHO,

Nice little pub just off the Tarka Trail. beer served on gravity behind the bar. The Doom Bar was in very good condition when I visited. Also the beach is dog friendly as is the pub.
