| My first visit here for what must be at least 20 years or more, and - as this his was one of the first pubs I ever went in for a beer at the tender (under-) age of 15 - it made this quite a nostalgic visit. The beers are very well kept. Hook Norton Hop at it, Cottage S&D, St Austell Trelawny, Otter Amber and another that I can't remember were on and all tried between us all. | Spent a Saturday night here a few weeks ago. Beer quality and range good, friendly barman, just unfortunate this pub seems a victim of it's own success - the place was heaving with people and we struggled to get to the bar or round to the toilets without pushing past people - I think you need to get in early to guarantee a table! manx_888 - 18 Jun 2012 19:40 |
