please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This pub was trading as the Lunar Hare and I thought I would pay it a visit as it is in the current Good Beer Guide. However it apparently closed again a few months ago. It is due to open again next month as the Malt House, but is currently closed.

Tj and Scruff Leaving on the 24th of February. Rumours of plans to turn it into an eatery.

Good general pub, good size and very tolerant of everyone and friendly.

Live music now stopped due to locals moaning (i love andover dont you !>!>!>!)

Hi. I'm T-J, the new landlady here at'The Tavern'. The facilities haven't changed, but they have improved. The pool table is of match standard, as is the dart board so our trophy-winning teams are kept happy. The large, secure garden has been invaded by fairies and fantasy creatures for well-trained, supervised children to find. The barbecue gets fired up almost weekly in the summer, and probably will into the winter too! Sky sports and premier plus with the two big screens and several smaller ones keep the sports fans happy, and if music's your thing, then come to see one of the weekly live bands, or one of out monthly karaoke nights. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the beer, including three real ales is excellent.
