| Agree about the food, very good. There was only Brakspears bitter on pumps, which was good, but I`d have appreciated a choice. We were a family booking of 25+ people, coming from Oxford Bristol Nottingham, Northampton etc, and were in some cases a bit late. The landlady was understandably miffed, but never smiled the whole time we were there afterwards. I would have preferred a hand drier rather than a couple of paper towels in the gents, but ah well. | This is a food pub, through and through, however without the food it would have closed, so whats worse? Anyhow as food pubs go it is outstanding. Its just won a Michelin Bib Gourmond and it serves one of the best pints of Hook Norton Bitter in the area, not bad for a food pub !
