A decent pub with a slightly sterile eating area at the back in a lovely village near to the monstrous Heythrop Park resort which is used for corporate training events. A platter of pork belly, black pudding and scallops was tasty but far from voluminous although bread was not charged for and Old Hooky was on tap (as you would expect in these parts). Comedic locals wearing ties and jackets confirms that this place is in the orbit of the Chipping Norton set - tempted to scrawl 'Corbyn is coming to get you' on the toilet wall.

We ate here last night before going to an event at Heythrop Park (2 mins drive away). We were a bit dubious having read some of the reviews above which is why I decided to write this.

I had one of the specials (chunk of cod with squid on garlic mash) and it was delicious, one of the best meals I've had recently. Mains are 8-14, so not cheap but this is about the same as most pubs in the area and portions were a good size. My meal was washed down with a very nice pint of Hooky and the staff were friendly and helpful. What more could you want?

Over priced pub grub, I am glad I was on a diet, otherwise I would have been looking for the local fish and chip shop, I was worried dick turpin would be waiting for me outside, because my wallet was emptied very quickly in The Crown. The landlady was rude, and was obviously spending more time with the well to do village crowd, who my i add were loud, foul mouthed and abusive.

The Restaurant was cramped, no space to move, the wait was longer than anticipated, and the quality of the food was reasonable. The size of the meals were a joke. We used to visit the other pub in Enstone where the whole experience was more casual & the atmosphere was jolly, the Crown is missing that atmosphere. Not a nice place to visit.

Over priced, general pub food served in a very small cramped restaurant, Not a friendly place, very sterile, no atmosphere, yet the bar area was crowded by foul mouthed loud locals. Not family friendly at all.

Pleasant village pub, catering for the 'well to do' residents... Food good but expensive, beer likewise.
