CLOSED....... Informed by local residents that the closure was due to the "greedy pubco wanting to double the rent". Apparently the couple who ran it have decamped to the local village club and intend to carry on thier good work there.

Dave and Christine Philpot the Landlord and Landlady of the Quart Pot took over the Quart Pot eighteen months ago. They came to the pub and have endeavored to rebuild the village pub back to a place where everybody is welcome!
It is a place for all to come to and have a drink and meet up with friends or to enjoy a good meal. They provide a relaxed and friendly setting for all to enjoy!
As well as providing an extensive range of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks They have also catered for real ale lovers .They have introduced 3 cask conditioned ales which we source from small local micro breweries. The ales are changed on a regular basis to keep the ale lovers on their toes!

The Restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday lunchtime (12 to 2pm) and evenings (6 to 9pm)
Food is freshly prepared by the Chef James and all produce is sourced locally.

They launched their new Winter Menu on Friday 19th September 2008. As well as the regular menu items they will be doing regular weekly specials so look out for those in the new menu window outside the pub or on the boards in and outside the pub. Thursday night is Takeaway Fish and Chips Night with freshly prepared Cod and Chips, Home made Fish Cakes and Chips or good old Sausage and Chips! Please ring in advance to ensure that you get reserve your order as they often sell out very early! Eat in or take away.

Come end enjoy a traditional 3 Course Sunday Lunch for 10.95 per head and serve from 12 to 4pm. They have a range of Roasts and also provide a vegetarian option upon request.

Good to see the village pub getting back to a place we all enjoy going to !
