Lovely pub except for an unbelievably rude barmaid with long dark hair.

Since being refurbished this is a great pub, real ales on tap and lager is always cold. The food is prepared with care and finesse and is priced well. Dinner for two with a bottle of good wine will set you back no more than 50 pounds.
There is a beer garden at the back which is nice to relax in but could do with some more TLC from the owners. Seldom is there any trouble in the pub however the pub dose seem to attract wealthier customers who seem to think that its a yuppie bar from the 1980s.
Apart from that I think that its a nice pub to visit however its not a drinkers pub

Lovely pub, with real ale on tap, and good food. Has a cracking beer garden for the summer, no plants, but plenty of space. Not a big fan of Shepherd Neame ales, but they are kept in good condition here, a pub which is well worth stopping at for a nice pint.

After closure for a short time quite recently I thought the refurb might ruin Ye Olde Whyte Lyon, but it has been done quite sensitively and the pub retains its charm. Staff are friendly and efficient, the beers are good, and there is a terrific (paved) garden at the back. No lawn but plenty of flowers, shrubs and trees in pots or in the ground, and a lot of seating.

The only problem is that when they are showing sports the several screens can be a bit intrusive if it's not something you want to see. But they have been showing the rugby at least - not many pubs locally will do that.

Ye Locksbottom pub although I never quite got over the refit years ago, but this is a very good pub with nice bar staff and Spitfire tasting as good as it can, its just a pity Shepherd Neame pubs charge so much for it.
