Don't know about eating here, but, as a pub for a pint or three, this place is excellent. An oasis, long may it continue.

Beer good. Welcome and service good. Hot food reasonably priced and stodgy. Salad was fine. Not tried baguettes and sandwiches. Good place to visit.

ive never had a prob with this pub, except for the fights on bonfire night whichhave long since stopped. it used to have the best dukebox for miles and was relativly cheap

I live in the village and think that the previous comment does not reflect usual service. I've never had a problem with the food, and any long wait is because it is all home made. the beers are reasonable, the prices good and the atmosphere cosy. can be bring for children if weather isnt suitable for beer garden fun.

My advice about this pub - DON'T BOTHER!! Went here with my wife and two kids for Sunday lunch, having phoned first to make sure they allowed children. Arrived on time and ordered our meals. We then waited over an hour for our food to arrive! The children got very bored, as well as hungry. The staff were unapologetic when we asked how long we would have to wait and, when the food finally arrived, we asked what had caused the delay as we had seen other punters arriving after us and hitting the nose bag before us. The response we got was incredibly rude and we were more or less accused of lying! So, if you don't like a long wait for your food (this pubs main earner by the look of things) and rude staff, give it a miss.
