| Stayed at the campsite 5 minutes walk away last night so spent an hour or so in their beer garden/field enjoying the last of the day's sun. The three ales rotate regularly and I tried the Allendale Pennine Pale and Eden Dynamite for £3. Both were very good. Nine Standards Drover was also on sale, I think Strongbow was the sole cider. Friendly landlady and popular with the local villagers who were attending a birthday celebration there. Décor is 90s so arguably could benefit from a slight refurb in the next couple of years but don't let that put you off if you happen to be nearby. paul_d102 - 26 Jul 2014 18:30 |

| Lovely staff, excellent food, flexibility with the menu, and reasonably priced and good wine. And, apparently, the beer is good.
