user reviews of the Railway, North Elmham

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Lovely and traditional one room village local not far from a steam railway station and line. There were only a handful in on Saturday evening. But it makes for a nice atmosphere to have a reasonably quiet drink. Although there was music playing. Plenty to look at on the walls too. The 2 ales were St Peter's Golden Ale & Oakham Endless Summer. There was also a real cider. This was my eighth pub and only the second with a cider. This was Westons Rosie's Pig. Decent place.

Recently take over by Bryan and Barbara who used to run Churchill's Club in Dereham. They're doing a great job now at this lovely rural hostelry, which serves good food and a good range of real ales and other drinks. A superb boozer.

Excellent local pub. Great range of ales, beers and snacks. Friendly service. Fantastic food. No, I don't own it, I just go there every week. Parking can be a bit tricky sometimes and you have to double up in front. The newly opened live music venue 'Tracks' is packed most nights. Nice garden out back and they have camping facilities as well. Real log fire and old sofas. Only complaint is it can get a bit busy some nights and you can't get a seat - so go early.

Absoutely the best pub in the area, albeit a little off the beaten track.
Ever changing beer menu, without Adnams and IPA which is all they seem to sell in other pubs in the area.
Not to be missed.
