Definitely not closed. Has undergone a serious refubishment which has brightened up the place considerably. Friendly, chatty bar staff, decent food (only sandwiches, hot or cold) and a nice atmosphere. We would be classed as tourists but have been to Dublin on many occasions and have been in here every time. Almost honorary regulars. When new tourists do find it, they always look amazed, as if they can't believe they've found a local in the city. Recommended. ROBCamra - 27 Jan 2009 15:29 |

Bright one room pub, which doesn't look like the kind of place where you'd want to have a full session.I've had much better Guinness as well. EdgarBriggsMI5 - 6 Sep 2006 22:14 |
My "local" whenever I'm in Dublin, which admittedly isn't often enough. Great pint, good service, warm and friendly, good conversation and, importantly, slightly off the tourist track. sussexu - 26 Sep 2005 09:18 |
