| Sherborne is a lovely little town. But it's pretty awful for real ale. This place is now called Mad Dog's and is set out similar to an American diner. | Re-opened and now in my opinion the best pub in Sherborne. New landlord has many years in the pub trade and it shows. Beer and food of great quality and good value (can recommend the steak sourced from a local butcher). Served me food at 3.30pm which was way out of normal food time. Pub is really clean (bit OCD about this aspect of pubs) and split into two bars so quiet or lively is your choice. Free wi-fi is provided also.
