The only pub in Watlington serving decent pints of reasonably priced real ales other than Brakspear. carricksmash - 6 Jun 2012 13:06 |
'Westons Cider' sticker in the window raised hopes, but it was only Stowford Press, not a real cider. jgurney1 - 8 Apr 2010 16:56 |
A pub you could easily overlook from the road but from its carpark it looks picturesque. More to the point, the menu is just to my liking - good British fare - and at very reasonable prices. We visited this pub 'by accident' when we found the one we intended to visit closed. The Carriers Arms was a real find and we immediately booked for a forthcoming Sunday lunch. We will be coming out to this place as often as we can. stanball - 22 Sep 2008 16:38 |
Nice place with good garden and views, friendly staff. Decent choice of ales, not too expensive, well worth a visit. Very handy when staying at White Mark Farm campsite. egdug - 25 Jul 2008 10:32 |
Went here for some 'Aunt Sally' in the garden, backs out over the fields and the Chilterns - very scenic. Don't know about the food but they had 4 ales on including 3.6% Butlers (plus 4.8% Butlers in bottles), Adnams Bitter and London Pride. Well worth visiting. Booze_Allen - 24 Jul 2008 18:28 |
