Well, the news that this small pub which is full of character and characters is open again fills my heart with joy! To be on holiday and find the pub shut when I tried to re-visit was hard to take. Penzance and its people are very hard to match, there are a few excellent pubs there and this is an important one.10/10.

Open again, thank God. Lovely pub and can only go from strength to strength. Please visit the smaller pubs in PZ, we need a break from the standard plastic places pubs have become.

Spent last evening at this pub and I must say it was pretty good. No food on as yet due to the new owners just about managing to open on time. However the beer (I was drinking Otter Bitter) was great. Three other beers on as well as the usual lagers, cider and Guinness. Very friendly welcome and the place has been re-formed nicely.

Well worth a visit.

Good news. The pub has been bought privately and is opening as a free house. Beer is back on the menu. Opens tonight 1st March.

Looks like Brighton Boy, sorry Eastborn Edgit really did it. The plave was closed for some months then reopened I believe by the people who had the Sportsman's in Heamoor. Unfortunately customers who opted to drink elsewhere didn't return even tho the place had a spruce up. Susequently the place is now closed again, anti pikey grills up and fomoured to have been bought for development into flats. A sad end for a once lovely little pub
