A borderline 7 or 8 as it's good and the best place to drink in Bourne - Release the Chimps from the Nene Valley brewery and Oakham JHB were both in good fettle and my returning of an off pint of milk stout was fielded apologetically and without quibble. The food looks good too but it's perhaps a little too shiny with hair straighteners pressed into widespread service on late Saturday afternoons by the looks of it

In here last Saturday and quite busy.
Walked passed it at first as looks more like a Resturant than a pub from the outside with diners sat in the window.
Good and vaired selection of ales from six hand pumps
I had a very nice pint of Ruperts War Dog for 2.95
O and why is there a silly photo on here.
Over the road is a bar called Firkin Ale where I got a passable pint of Batemans XB for just 1.50 so try that also if here

Best pub in Bourne imo, went to a few , avoided a few others, but the selection of ales was superb. Friendly staff, nice vibe to the place.

Visited Smiths early Saturday evening with my family, including a five year old grand'daughter who was told she to be on her best behavior,or we would be asked to leave.

What a pity other children present had not been given the same instructions.
I find it very annoying when thoughtless parents forego responsibility for their offspring, with total disregard for others and use the pub as a child minder.

Our well earned relaxing visit was was truly spoilt.

Setting the above complaint aside, all other aspects were fine including an excellent London Pride.
Did notice the landlord was not present!
