Good pint of Special last night (Weds). WmStones - 23 Jan 2014 17:12 |
Near perfect and that includes the beer garden which must have one of the best beers in England. Veggie and chicken burgers were superb, service friendly and the interior smartly decorated while the exterior is pure, gaze in ecstasy traditional. The one quibble - the Youngs ales - I'm usually a fan but prefer to drink them in Southfields, not Shaftesbury - especially now that Charles Wells havae taken over. BoehmBawerk - 14 Jul 2013 20:07 |
We had a pleasant visit yesterday early evening and ended up staying long than we should have. Young's Special, Bitter, Bombardier and Winter Warmer available, my choice was the latter which was in good order. Very busy when we left, I would say most drinkers in their 30s but all ages there. paul_d102 - 26 Jan 2013 17:09 |
Looking for a redcoration but, none the less very busy on my visit and, my otter ale was in good nick, noticed several neals come out pub grub pie & chips fish & and chips but all looked well cooked and smelt appetising. Only downfall is the hike upstairs for the toilets. And the people that insist on hogging the bar when things are busy. james55westhead - 16 Apr 2012 05:38 |
Pub has been redecorated & is much improved. I have had a good pint of Youngs "Ordinary" most Friday evenings for the last 3 months. Food seems to be getting busier!! dorsettyke - 30 Sep 2011 16:24 |
