| What a difference a replacement Landlord can make. For the last few years, The Star was the nicest pub in Pill. Brilliant Butcomb`s Bitter and Blond..perfect landlord..lovely staff and locals and a clean and happy welcome. Now ?.. the beer is Putrid,(i poured mine on the floor..carpets have gone},pub was cold,dark and empty of locals a really sad day for a pretty little village. A local told my wife that the owner of The Star HATES Pill people and buys watered down,out of date beer kegs from the brewery for the new landlord to Poison all the villagers. I know he was a joker but he also added that the beer served is the worst its been for 29 years.
