A fairly ordinary but pleasant place, with some well-kept beer. Food is, as has been said, fairly average. Worth a stop, but not a detour. 6/10

Popped in here on NYE for a beer before the main event...pleasantly surprised to have a low-key evening with a band who played hackneyed numbers but were unimposing- nice...spacious and no crowds and demand that we pay an extortionate entrance fee a la Greedy King....3 ales, although uninspriring, but included a Sussex at least....not bad at all

Pub situated close to Bramber Castle. This proved an ideal spot for some lunch and a drink on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of real ales on, including the Sussex Bitter which was fine. Plenty of food advertised, although the food is somewhat disappointing. Worth a visit if in the area.

Pretty nice country pub by the castle. Good ale range, food is up and down.
