| This pub is now called The Stage door... Its probably had a makeover since its buccaneer days, but whatever they've done it certainly works, as we found this a cracking pub with top notch beer. It's located in a lovely building next to Devonshire park and the famous tennis club.. You get great views of the courts from the bar. | Friendly barman who lets us try some of the ales. Beer was good so was the atmospere. Very nice building from the outside. The very big downpoint were the toilets. The toilets were infested by mould. Renovate the toilets and the pub would be a star in Eastbourne... markos - 2 Oct 2012 21:52 |
| Agree a fantastic pub selling great beer. Mixture of locals, and visitors to nearby Winter Gardens and Theatre. Food available during day, and 5 real ales on offer when I visited including Buccaneer, Rev.James, and Harveys Sussex.
