| I remember, some years ago, having a few beers here, and a meal with the memsahib. There were several books on the shelves for customers to read, and I noticed that one of them (about home wine-making) was duplicated. I asked the landlord if I could buy one of the copies, and he said I could, for a donation in the charity box. It contained the recipe for a wine which really opened my eyes; a dry port, made from a blend of blackberry and elderberry. I am a beer fan, but have made my own wine for many years. Sorry to ramble. The beer here is very good indeed, and the food is excellent.
