Reverted to old name of The Spotted Cow in Spring 2008 following thorough refurbishment. Vast improvement. Now a very popular pub with DJs several evenings a week until 12 or 1am. Popular with a young crowd in particular, but retains a mixed clientele. Keeps a couple of real ales. Limited menu of good quality but rather pricey food. Large garden also refurbished (if that's the right word..?). Barbecues in the summer.

Dave runs the pub along with his son. The pub has a large beer garden and a relatively large interior. It lacks an atmosphere for most of the time and even when busy on the weekends, it is never crowded. The bar is large with three sides and has the usual selection of commercial lagers along with guiness and blackthorn. It also sells Hobgoblin ale which attracted me to the pub as i love ales. The first time i had the hobgoblin it was a good pint, but the 2nd time on another visit to the pub, it had a strong taste of vinegar, which put me right off. The pub is great if you want a quiet atmosphere and quiet pint, but otherwise I'd recommend other pubs in the area to be better.
