Don't bother going to this Pub for 'Beer in the Evening' because it will probably be closed! Despite advertised opening times of 6 - 11pm on Fridays, when my wife and I went there on Friday, 6th May 2016 at 10pm, it was closed.

Haven't visited since this was the Fox & Hounds, but remember it as very pleasant then. If a lot of effort has been put in to smarten it up then good luck to the owners.

Excellently prepared fresh food, well presented and fairly priced. Friendly attentive staff making for a most pleasing experience which will be undoubtably repeated frequently. I have become disillusioned over the last 15 years, my annual attempts for a good meal and a pleasant pint being met with disappointment for a variety of reasons. Thanks guys!!

A clean roadside pub which has been skillfully developed to provide sensible parking and eating facilities. The bar was cheerful with a good selection and the both the beers sampled were in excellent condition. Food is served in a resturant area at the end of the bar and at lunchtime this was very busy. We did not have long to wait for our food which was traditional honest fare reasonably priced and tasty. No garden anymore but still suitable for youngsters under control and now with good wheelchair access for the less able. This might be a temporary blip but check your change at the bar before picking up your pint.

I hear that this pub was bought and done up by someone who won the lottery and used their winnings to start a business. Excellent investment. Have turned up on a Tuesday night and have struggled to find a table for food. Restaurant is always busy. This pub used to be a right dive. But it's bright and clean and the food is basic but good. If you fancy Steak and Kidney pudding or 1/4 Roast Chicken or a Cheeseburger or Beef and Guiness pie one evening then this is the place for you. Great place if you just fancy a night off from cooking. Have always eaten here so never sat in the bar area but it's always got people just enjoying themselves and not being rowdy or chavvy which is what kind of reputation this pub had before.
