Pub completely destroyed by flooding. A news article from a while back discusses a planning application to convert it to apartments: it seems it had been closed for some time. It looks unlikely that it will ever be rebuilt in any form.

Been in there after the launch of their new menu, excellent choice and great value. 5* restaurant and great service - mum and dad popped in for a Sunday roast and was fab.
They need to have more live music events there.

great now its back open, great homecooked food, fantastic value for money. drinks are very well priced, staff are friendly, well worth a visit, not heard a bad thing said about the place.

Reopened and refurbished. A large interior combined with plenty of seating outside. Black Sheep and Landlord cask ales available.
Worth a visit if you're in the area visiting the Footballers and Hamers Arms.

Despite what this site says the nearest station to the Waterside is in Summerseat Village itself on the East Lancashire Railway and can be reached by train from Rawtenstall, Bury and Heywood in Greater Manchester. All these stations have good car parking facilities although the Waterside does not.
