I have been a customer at the Moorcock for many years. You always get a warm wellcome and good food at a reasonable price

Called in here after spending a day at Malham. Very clean inside and the staff provided very good service. we had a starter and a main course - so hungry after a ton of walking - and it only cost £10 each. Quality food. Nice music too! Been years since I listened to anything by Neil Young!
A couple of tables in with us but as is its February/March, places like this tend to be a bit quiet at this time of year.
Thoroughly recommend. Going again soon

I called in to this pub as it looks reasonably interesting from the outside and has great views from the front as it is situated high above Nelson. I would definitely not call-again though - it was empty, had no atmosphere and seemed very down-at-heel.

I visited The Moorcock Inn for a late luch with my extended family today. We were faced with staff who were lacking in social skills and presented with an over priced menu. As it was Mothering Sunday we made the decision to stay for a meal and hoped for the best.
The food was shocking, as was the service and we were given dirty plates and cutlery. The slug trails on the carpet didn't really add to the atmosphere to be honest - no wonder the place was mostly empty!
I really wouldn't recommend you visit this establishment, a warm welcome you definately will not receive! We couldn't wait to leave and we will never return thank you!

Thought we would stop for a pint one cold rainy sat afternoon, the pub does not have much atmosphere and not many customers, place was completely empty! Just seems set out for dining so not very relaxing. Ordered some food which has to say was quite tasty. Although ham baguette was quite pricey for what it was, After listening to Don Maclean singing American pie on a loop for our whole stay couldn't wait to get out.
